As you may or may not have heard, Blue Damsel will be retiring the event known as Tribal Cafe. As of January, Politti will be the new owner of Oasis Dance Studio, and Rachel plans to move the East Coast in the summer of 2008, and retire from bellydance to focus on being a mother, and the management of Eventide Music Productions. Due to these drastic life changes, Politti and Rachel have decided to put their time and financial commitments behind these new projects.
We are terribly sad for the loss of this event that was made so beautiful by the instructors and participants. Tribal Cafe had a life of its own, and while it was exhausting by the end each year, it was one of the most enriching and satisfying projects we've ever facilitated.
In lieu of Tribal Cafe, Blue Damsel Dance Company and the Oasis Dance Studio will continue to host Fat Chance Belly Dance's Carolena Nericcio (Pimp Master C) and this year, Mehga, for the General Skills Certification and the new Teacher Trainging module. We will also continue to offer the "Finest In Tribal Style Belly Dance" for our monthly workshop series, following our commitment to excellence in dance and training.
